Dr. James Robinson earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985. Following a surgical internship at the Southwestern Michigan Area Health Education Center in Kalamazoo, he completed a research post doctorate at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and surgical residency at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He spent the next five years back at UW-Madison within the department of ophthalmology as a research fellow and postdoctoral fellow before completing his ophthalmology residency in 1994. After a glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida, Dr. Robinson joined the staff of the University of Missouri department of ophthalmology as an assistant professor. In 1997, he joined the faculty at MCW, where today he is an associate professor. During his tenure, he has served as the director of the Ophthalmology Residency Program and as section chief of ophthalmology services at the Zablocki VA Medical Center.
