Biography

Dr. Marks is a board certified Orthopaedic surgeon and Professor at many Medical Schools across the country. From 1995-1998 Dr. Marks served as Assistant Professor of Surgery (Orthopaedics) at Dartmouth Medical School. In 1998 through 2003 Dr. Marks was Associate Professor, Director, Division of Foot/Ankle Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. From 1998 to the present he has been the Director, Division of Foot/ Ankle Surgery and Fellowship Director of Foot/Ankle Fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin. 2003- 2008 Dr. Marks was Associate Professor, Director, Division of Foot/Ankle Surgery and in 2008 he became a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Marks also spends time teaching at Marquette University as Adjunct Professor of the Biomedical Engineering Department.

 

Dr. Marks was a Magill-Rhoads Scholar with Haverford College from 1977-1981. During this time he was an NCAA Division III All American in Tennis as well as a Middle Atlantic All Conference Soccer Team member in 1980 and 1981. In 1995 he was awarded the Roger Michael: Johnson & Johnson Research Award from Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. He also received the Roger A. Mann Award (co-author) from the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Marks participated in an Outreach and Education Overseas Fellowship in Vietnam in 2003 which led up to him receiving the American Top Doctor Orthopaedic Award in 2013.
